Life Management Seminar at Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan New Delhi

Without management, there is nothing in this world which is going to work without collation. Managing life is more important than anything we manage in our day to day life. What, How, Why? Three words with question mark were revolving in my mind. I took my seat in the middle row and started to wait for the speaker to conquer my queries with his sword of solution for managing life.

Shiny silky white hair and beard, spectacles over eyes with a simple living high thinking personality, Dilip Sir was checking his mike for the life management seminar and we were ready with our notepads and pens in hand to write down all the important points. Starting with the welcoming note to the students present there, sir asked his first question in the very beginning of the seminar that was “What is life? And why do we need to manage it?” accepting everyone’s comment over it he quoted life as the time period between birth and death.

““What religion tells us about the life management?” Religion includes spirituality and code of conduct in which “how am I supposed to live my life” in particular religion is a part of code of conduct which keeps changing as per the time. But the spirituality which is the matter of asking and searching within remain constant by person to person. Most of the people after achieving all physical growth (eating-exercise-activities), mental Growth (knowledge, degree etc), economic growth (earning Money), they search for something missing and that missing part is known as spiritual growth. “Ask the question from own-self” what is inside which is not changing with all these growth? There is no fixed age to know your spirit” marked by Dilip Sir.

He gave an example of Bhakta Prahalad whose father was the demon Harnayakashyap. Harnakashyap wanted to be worshipped by everyone in place of God. For this many a times he had compelled his son Prahalad who was a great devotee to Lord Vishnu, he used to believe that everywhere is God even the fruits we eat and the water we drink. Harnayakashyap even tried to kill his own son but remain unsuccessful and in the last killed by the Lord Narshimha.
Another example was from the sage Gyaneshwar, who had taken the decision to go for his own spiritual growth by the age of 16 only.
Dilip sir said “By these two examples it’s clear that there is no age for spiritual growth”.

We all have to face a situation where we have to make the decision related to “Job, life partner, study, and living style etc.” so how to take a right decision? Sometimes we seek suggestions from our friends, family members and teachers but what if their suggestions don’t belong to your passion. Don’t forget “No one is the carbon copy of another”. The Ganges and the Brahamputra are the two rivers which originate from the Great Himalayas but follows in different direction and finish at the bay of Bengal.

How exactly we can change our thought process, which can change my life?
Do I have that power to take independent decision? What if that will be wrong?
Would I get what I desire for?

“One solution to all is self-evaluation or search for your spiritual growth. People call it spirit at universe level what we call soul at individual level” quoted by dilip sir.

Newton after discovering first law, second law etc, he threw a party for his all well-wishers at his home. He invited all for a dinner and wine. When well-wishers enter at Newton’s home, they were surprised to
See the universe model in his house which was so beautiful and eye-catching. Many of them decided to have one to their home and asked who made this, Newton? Very politely he replied “I think this is
self-made no one created this”. All laughed “Jokingly” but then Newton asked them a very serious question “You see the universe, you see the sun, moon, earth etc how well coordinated all are? But then even you don’t believe in the presence of someone who is behind all management, the almighty spirit”
All well-wishers return to home with a question mark in their minds.
“Knowing or connecting the soul to the spirit is the spiritual growth”, dilip sir said.

Keeping the positive attitude that should be the agenda for one’s life to keep growing. The movement you start thinking about the positive thought, the positive energy will start multiplying in your brain.

There was a man who kept worshipping God for wealth but God never appeared before him to ask his wish for worshipping God so blindly. One day that man got frustrated with God for not fulfilling his wish to be rich and wealthy, he started abusing the God very badly, so God decided to make him learn a lesson and he appeared before that man. As he saw the God approaching to him, he apologized for his misbehaving attitude from past two days. God asked “What do you need my son”, he replied “I am very poor and i don’t want to work but want to be rich so please give me 2 crore so that i can live this life as per my desire”. God accepted his wish but asked for his “his eyes, his legs, his hands his teeth in return of that money and promised to pay him 5 crores”. Then the stupid man realized his foolishness to value money more than anything.
Think about what do you have and how you can give the best within that resources. If you think negative then negative energy will multiply in your brain.
“The last decision should be yours and if you have any queries let’s take them now” with this dilip Sir announced for break and end the seminar.

There were many things with which we encounter first time throughout this seminar. I think it was well-crafted and planned seminar on life management. Such type of seminar should be organized on every weekend by Bhartiya Vidya bhawan as per my thinking.

Thank You
